Introducing the iPad Sport Cool Case. As the iPad has gotten thinner and is equipped with a more powerful processor and larger battery, it runs hotter. And, no matter the temperature in or outside the cockpit, direct sunlight on the screen of the iPad will cause it to overheat in about ten minutes. We’ve solved these problems.
The iPad Sport Cool Case is the first iPad case to add high-end gaming laptop cooling technology engineered to provide maximum airflow with minimum noise.
The iPad Cool Case is powered by iPAD OR USB-C. Connect the supplied USB-C cable from the Cool Case to the iPad. Then, power the fan by:
(1) The iPad's battery itself. A fully charged iPad can power the fan and run apps for 3-5+ hours in direct sun. Power - iPad TO fan.
OR...
(2) USB-C power source. Plug a USB-C cable into the Cool Case and it will power the fan and charge the iPad both. Power - USB-C TO fan AND iPad.
The iPad Cool Case is ultra lightweight, thin, cool, and sleek. No extra batteries, minimal extra weight.
The iPad Sport Cool Case can be used either as a mountable case or kneeboard and can be used in direct sun. Used in cockpits of planes, trucks and cars and outside when flying a drone or at the beach.
Key features of the iPad Sport Cool Case for iPad cooling are:
Upgradeable: We designed the cooling components in a way that allows them to be transferred to a new case when you upgrade your iPad. This will save you money on future purchases.

After submitting my review I emailed customer support. Someone within 45 minutes called me and trouble shot the unit with me. Unit was not defective with the power button. It is just not a typical on off switch like I was thinking. Must wait between 5-10 seconds between shutting down the unit and powering back on. Second is that the corner was described as a soft corner. While I do not agree with this it is a feature that was implemented to make removal of the iPad easier. I ended up using a flat piece of bungie string to secure that corner tight to the iPad. Feel better about that. Solid customer service. Feel much better about my purchase.
Case is very sleek, not much added bulk to the iPad. The problems are with the case mounting to the iPad. The corner where the camera is does not fully seat on the iPad, leaving a gap between the iPad and the case. In a helicopter that vibrates I can see this leading to the iPad departing the case. The power button on mine was also defective. Needed to depress multiple times to get the fan to turn on. For a product at this price point, I expected higher quality components, along with tight fit and finish. Leaves a lot to be desired for a premium priced product.
For the price, the fit and function are pretty marginal. The case doesn't fit around all four corners, and the boss that snaps into the suction cup mount prohibits the mount jaws from seating properly in the boss reliefs. It's winter, so the cooling effect remains to be seen.
The fan doesn’t run for very long. I think it’s defective. For the price I’m not impressed. For the record I have a bunch of stuff from mygoflight, and I love there products.
I’ve definitely been pushing our flight programs to ditch their RAM mounts and swap to MGF mounts. It’s expensive, but a quantum leap forward from the RAM stuff we’ve used in the past.
We’ve been very pleased with the MGF products. We use the iPad Air cooling cases in Papua New Guinea, Southern Arizona and the Amazon region of Brazil.
They make all the difference in the world when it comes to cooling. The lightweight design and pass-through charging is an awesome feature and cleans things up
Why don’t use the smart connector on ipad pro to power the cool case, and we can use USBC port to power the ipad??
